Don't cry for us, we're free and we're young
Our troubles are behind us, and our journey's done
The moon doesn't burn, there are no scars to conceal
And Azkaban's a nightmare that was never real
We know these paths so well, the forest was our home
On four feet or on two, we were always free to roam
We'll guide you to your fate with all our love and pride
Your godfather and teacher, standing at your side
And we will stay with you til the very end
Your mother and your father, and their stubbornest of friends
We were there at your beginning, we'll be there at your end
As we all walk through the forest again...
So stay strong, we're with you, youthful and whole
Given back the happiness that the darkness stole
We'll take you to the place where you'll face your final test
Wand at the ready, heart thumping in your chest
And we will stay with you til the very end
Your mother and your father, and their stubbornest of friends
We were there at your beginning, we'll be there at your end
As we all walk through the forest again...

Yeah, this should be considered a wizard rock classic. Here, Lauren (originally one half of the Moaning Myrtles) sings from the alternating points of view of Severus and Lily in a chronological series of songs inspired by a single chapter of Deathly Hallows. More upbeat songs like 'This Is It' are contrasted with moodier ones like 'Lose You' and 'Freak', and the way the characters develop throughout the songs is shown well. A very relistenable collection. yourwizardrockresource

Delicious (sorry) introduction to The Butterbeer Experience! There are a few classics on here, like 'Alone' and 'Chapter 34', that are among equally lovable gems like 'Greater Good' and 'Lullaby'. yourwizardrockresource
Smooth, sophisticated pop with neoclassical flourishes from the Berlin-based duo of Fabian Till and Birk Buttcherey. Bandcamp New & Notable May 2, 2024

A gorgeous second album that holds up well to the high standard set by the first. The sweet love songs are back, along with an ode to Ron Weasley, a gorgeous metawrock song (and I'm not usually a big fan of metawrock), a couple of spiritual successors to songs from the debut album and one of my favourite DH Chapter 34 songs ever, among other gems. The fact that Avery is a songwriting genius cannot be understated. yourwizardrockresource
